The replacement of the blade is easily done by removing the cutting bar assembly, and sliding off the old blade. Slide on the new part and re-assemble the cutter.

Plastic paper clamps can simply be bent slightly and removed from the housing, ensure you move the cutting head to one side completely if not removing it prior to removing the clamp. Then re-insert the new clamp and continue cutting.
